Wildlife Technicians

We are saddened to announce that Skip left ABC Humane Wildlife Control due to health complications in February 2003. His presence is missed, but due to our fondness for him, his biography remains on our website as an “honorary wildlife technician.”

Skip is a native of McHenry, Illinois where he resides with his Dalmatian, Stuart. Each day, Skip and Stuart venture out in their pickup truck serving clients' animal control needs. Skip is becoming an expert tracker, using animal signs, like fur, paw prints, scratch marks, and droppings, to reveal information about an animal's whereabouts and behavior.

Delivering injured animals to rehabilitators and rescuing rare animals, like flying squirrels, are Skip's favorite parts of his job. Our clients agree that Skip is a spectacular wildlife technician, as they frequently request him personally and sing his praises.

Skip is an accomplished poet and enjoys creative writing in his free time. He is also a terrific athlete, enjoying softball, darts, and long nature walks. In addition to accompanying his owner to work, Stuart chases cats during his leisure time.
