Sara is one of the most talented, charming and diverse people we’ve met! She is a classically trained pianist who would be just as comfortable on tour with Phish as at the Symphony Orchestra. She is an active, earthy person who loves camping and rafting in the wilderness. Whether sporting a business suit or her characteristic tie-dye t-shirt and jeans, Sara is charismatic and dedicated.

A conversation about Sara is incomplete without mentioning her creativity and flair for design. She is affectionately known as our “art department” because every project that she works on gets a colorful overhaul. Also a skilled writer, she authored much of our website’s content. Sara is equally talented with “left-brain,” logic based work. She is a top-notch number cruncher and manages our accounts payable and receivable department.

Among her other duties, Sara serves as ABC Humane Wildlife Control’s liaison for public health. She describes this as her most important role stating, “When someone has a bat in the house, a bite may have occurred without the person realizing it and it’s my job to coordinate with rabies control officers to test the animal. This is an area where an oversight or lost specimen could cost someone’s life, so I’ve created a system of checks and balances with a chain of accountability so that this type of serious error could never happen here.”
